Maj Invest Minorities (flagship strategy)
The investment strategy involves acquiring minority stakes in mid-to-large-cap private equity deals and early-stage ventures within innovative technology and life sciences companies in developed markets. The combination of Private Equity (PE) and Venture Capital (VC) investments yields a high return while balancing risk. Investments are conducted alongside recognized co-investors from our exclusive network. The technology and life sciences sectors are structural outperformers characterized by strong growth drivers, deep innovation, and significant contributions to human and planetary health.
MIM I and MIM II
Our first fund, Maj Invest Minorities I (MIM I) was established in 2021 with PKA as anchor investor. The fund is classified as an Article 8 fund under the EU's Sustainability Disclosure Regulation. It has a core focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), including SDG3, Good Health and Well-Being; SDG8, Decent Work and Economic Growth; and SDG13: Climate Action. The fund is 80% invested with the period for new investments expiring in 2024.
After a strong start and validation of the strategy, demand for a successor fund arose and MIM II was established in 2023. MIM II had its initial closing in January with a commitment of 1.750 DKKm from PKA.
