PURE FISHING ANNOUNCES THE ACQUISITION OF SVENDSEN SPORT, BOLSTERING THE COMPANY’S GLOBAL REACH AND CAPABILITIES
COLUMBIA, S.C. (February 2, 2022) — Pure Fishing Inc., the world’s largest fishing tackle company, announces its acquisition of Svendsen Sport, a leading supplier of fishing tackle in Europe and owner of leading brands in that market including Savage Gear, Prologic, MadCat, WaterWolf and DAM.
The acquisition of Svendsen Sport further strengthens the company’s position as a global powerhouse in the growing recreational fishing industry. The acquisition gives Pure Fishing several well-known and widely distributed brands in the European market, broader sales coverage, and complimentary product development and marketing capabilities to deliver against the company’s global expansion goals. This strategic acquisition is the fourth for Pure Fishing in three years under the ownership of private equity firm Sycamore Partners.

Through its acquisition of the Svendsen Sport business, Pure Fishing will obtain leading brands including the key brands Savage Gear, Prologic, MadCat, WaterWolf, and DAM, and add over 180 people to the team in Europe.
Closing terms for the sale are not disclosed.
